We are delighted to be taking part in the Women Returners Finance, Legal & FinTech Returners Scotland programme this Autumn.

ShareIn is amongst the first to sign up for the programme and will be offering a professional paid placement of 16 weeks to women trying to get back into work in business services in Edinburgh.

The programme aims to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to enable them to apply for permanent roles once the 16 weeks have been completed.

Jude Cook, who herself took a career break, founded ShareIn with Andrew Pickett in 2011. Now ShareIn is a flourishing fintech company which offers a technological and compliance solution for online investment platforms, has now grown to a team of 24 (62% of whom are women) and is continuing to grow. We are offering a placement for women who’ve worked in Marketing, Sales or Software Development before taking a break in their careers.

Jude says:

‘Having taken a break from paid employment for 11 years whilst raising my children, I am only too aware of the difficulties women face when attempting to return to work after a break. With at least three members of staff (both women and men) who have returned to work after a career break, I am also aware that these extremely talented people can get overlooked when applying for ‘traditional’ routes back to work. I’m pleased to offer a work placement, with the hope of recruiting a permanent role at the end of the 16 weeks and I’m also delighted that the programme is not just a work placement but offers mentorship, training and skill building for women wanting to get back to building their careers.’
